These needles are specially designed to work with leather, as well as other heavy non-woven imitation leathers and suedes. They have a unique wedge shape and a slightly sharp cutting point, allowing them to cut through leather without creating large holes. For the best performance, it’s recommended to change your needle every 6 to 8 hours of sewing or based on the type of fabric you’re using.
